The Watchful Association for Relief and Development (WARD) Somalia is committed to achieving the following objectives:
- Humanitarian Relief and Development Support
to provide immediate humanitarian relief and long-term development support to communities affected by natural and/or man-made disasters and adversities in the region. - Capacity Building for Vulnerable Populations
To train and equip refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) with the necessary skills to anticipate and effectively respond to disaster situations. - Strengthening Indigenous Capabilities
To develop and strengthen local capacities in early warning systems, disaster preparedness, prevention, relief management, and recovery. This includes supporting the formation and strengthening of indigenous, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and networks that are dedicated to rapid humanitarian response and relief management. - Support for Vulnerable Groups
To assist vulnerable groups, including children, the elderly, persons with disabilities, orphans, and widows, by providing access to education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihood programs. - Community Empowerment and Self-Reliance
To promote and empower communities to become self-reliant, enabling them to achieve sustainable livelihoods and improve their quality of life. - Collaboration and Partnership Development
To build and strengthen partnerships with national and international institutions that share similar objectives and are committed to humanitarian relief and development.
